We partnered with a UAE-based company to enhance the quality and security of their HRMS platform. Our team tested both web and mobile (Android & iOS) applications across QA and production environments. Alongside manual and automation testing, we conducted security assessments targeting OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities to ensure data protection and compliance.

Challenges in Ensuring Application Quality

The HRMS applications showed inconsistencies in functional workflows across web and mobile platforms, including errors in leave and shift calculations, salary detection, and approval processes. Security gaps were also identified, exposing the system to potential vulnerabilities. Additionally, the lack of scalable automation created delays in regression cycles, reducing release efficiency and confidence in overall product stability.

We applied a risk-based testing approach to prioritize high-impact HRMS workflows, ensuring that geo-restriction, leave and shift calculations, salary detection, and approval hierarchies were thoroughly validated. This selective yet deep coverage helped uncover defects earlier, increasing test efficiency and providing greater assurance of business-critical functionality.

Proactive Security Assurance

Instead of limiting checks to compliance, we adopted a proactive security testing style. By simulating real-world attacks, we identified vulnerabilities like broken authentication and data exposure before they could be exploited. Two dedicated security test cycles with Burp Suite strengthened the platform’s resilience and instilled confidence in its protection against OWASP Top 10 risks

Accelerated Test Automation

We combined BDD-driven automation with continuous integration to maximize test reuse and accelerate regression. Using Selenium with Cucumber and Java, our team automated over 1350 cases covering both web and mobile apps. This unique strategy not only boosted coverage to 90% but also allowed instant feedback through Jenkins pipelines, reducing release delays.

Dynamic Data Simulation

To overcome HRMS-specific data challenges, we created a dynamic simulation model for test data. Selenium-driven scripts automatically generated new and existing users, shift scenarios, and leave approvals. This ensured consistent, realistic datasets for every test run, eliminating bottlenecks while making test execution faster, repeatable, and highly scalable.
